New Release: Cigar Cut Island Blend
We are proud to announce the limited national release of Cigar Cut Island Blend, inspired by the success of Old Elk's initial Cigar Cut. It was crafted by Old Elk's Head of Production, Melinda Maddox, showcasing Melinda's increasing role in liquid development. This launch marks her debut of creating her own whiskey.
Cigar Cut Island Blend is a carefully selected blend of Old Elk's Cask Finish Series (aged minimum 6 years), including the High-Malt Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Straight Rye Whiskey and Straight Wheat Whiskey. It is then finished in Port, Sauternes, Sherry or Rum barrels.

Last month included the team heading down to Louisiana and a formal pairing event on our home turf of Colorado.
October 7 | Louisiana Bourbon Festival: Tradition vs. Innovation: To Cask or Not To Cask? Led Louisiana BourbonFest attendees through a secondary maturation workshop to educate around winning cask finishes.
October 24 | Cafe Vino: Three Course Pairing Dinner with Old Elk. Chef Ryan did a 4 course pairing with 2 of their Old Elk Single single barrels (High malt and Wheated) plus the Island Blend. They also had a beer from Zwei that was finished in an Old Elk Bourbon barrel.
